The Bawdy Tales of Lazlo Cale

Created by Andrew Maxwell

The Bawdy Tales of Lazlo Cale is a rollicking 48 page, mature readers sci-fi romp, created by Andrew Maxwell and Goran Gligović. If you're a fan of films like Ocean's 11 or The Thomas Crown Affair, and sci-fi in the vein of The Fifth Element, or Sex Criminals, then you'll love Lazlo.

FINAL WEEK!
almost 2 years ago – Mon, May 30, 2022 at 11:45:07 PM

Hi Gang,

We are in our final week of the Rum Row Kickstarter! If you were considering backing, now is the time! We have already unlocked two stretch goals - an interview with an actual hot air balloon pilot, and 4 Rum Row themed tarot cards. Here's a sample for you to check out:

We're only $2,000 away from unlocking the next stretch goal of the 5 page Rum Row short, by wraparound cover artist Sam Lotfi, and writer Russell Nohelty. Issue #4 is nearing the 50 page mark! Here's some of my favorite panels.

Thanks again for taking the time to check us out, and have a great rest of your week!

Best,

Team Rum Row

A New Completed Comic - Rum Row!
almost 2 years ago – Sun, May 01, 2022 at 11:14:13 AM

Hi Gang,

We can't thank you enough for backing and supporting our quirky little sci-fi tale Lazlo. It was such a blast to make. If you enjoyed that, we wanted to let you know we're launching another campaign for one of our titles called Rum Row Tuesday (5/3). The first arc is complete, and you can even purchase a slipcase collectors box to store them in.

Rum Row is a prohibition themed, dieselpunk crime adventure. When prohibition hits, rum runners and patrons alike take to the sky in giant dirigible speakeasies above New York, to avoid dry laws. The final issue is oversized, coming in at a whopping 40 pages! 36 full colored comic pages followed by back matter materials. Gavin really went all out as you can see:

You can click this link to be notified when the campaign launches Tuesday. Hopefully we'll see you there!

New Comics!
over 4 years ago – Wed, Oct 09, 2019 at 05:21:55 PM

Hey Gang,

We hope you enjoyed reading the adventures of Lazlo as much as we enjoyed making them. It was a blast to create. If you liked Lazlo, I wanted to check in and inform you of another one of our titles, Rum Row, which is launching today.

Some of you may be already familiar with the comic, and I know there were quite of few of you that added it on to your Lazlo order. But for those new comers, Rum Row is a prohibition themed, dieselpunk crime adventure. When prohibition hits, rum runners and patrons alike take to the sky in giant dirigible speakeasies above New York, to avoid dry laws.

We are launching issue #3 today, but issues #1-2, and a whole host of other rewards are available for pre-order as well

Thanks again for the consideration, and have a great week!

Best,

Andrew

That's a Wrap!

The last round of packages went out this morning. If you don’t receive a package in the next two weeks, please message me. I’ll get on it ASAP.

I've already seen a few of you posting about receiving your packages, and we love that! Definitely tag us if you plan on doing so. You can find us on Twitter:

Goran Gligovic - @EveryGogi

Myself- @IhateMaxwell

Bernardo Brice - @bernardobri

Sonia Harris - @sonia__harris

*Adam Pruett was a huge part of making this book, but isn't a big social media guy. So I will pass on your support.

Making indie comics is truly a passion project, so getting feedback from all of you is worth more than gold. Putting together these packages, I saw quite a few return backers, which is the best thing I could hope for. It means we're doing something right. Plus I saw a ton of new names!

So a big thank you from the bottom of all our hearts. You're the best! We hope you enjoy the books, and fingers crossed come along for future chapters.

Sincerely,

Andrew
