Hey Gang,
Checking in here, as we get closer to reaching the finish line. I have dropped off two giant loads at the post office in the past couple days, and mailed off approximately 70% of the packages! Another load should hopefully do it. Fingers crossed, I think everyone should get their books by the the end of the month, and we'll be right in line with our deadline.
One thing I wanted to mention to avoid any confusion. I used my buddy's pre-paid label maker to save myself time on packaging, and cut down on those horrendous holiday lines at the post office. It will read from "Cat Crib", his personal business, instead of from myself. So you will see this label...
Heh so to clarify, you are getting comics. Not cat products. Maybe we can have a feline themed crossover event in the future.
Oh and I know it was stated in the Kickstarter campaign, but I wanted to say it one last time just in case. This book is definitely for adults. Rum Row and Aldous Spark were more in the PG/PG-13 range, and Lazlo is most definitely not. Zany sci-fi galore, just not for the kids this time around.
Lastly, I also wanted to mention Lazlo made it in Pipedream Comic's Top 20 of 2018 for Small Press and Indie Comics. If you're unfamiliar with Pipedream, they're fantastic site that covers the best comics coming out in the indie/small press scene. I've often found some great books on there myself, like Alex Automatica and Gateway City for example. So check it out.

Lazlo has landed!

Hey Gang,
I officially have the books in hand, and they look beautiful! See for yourself -
We decided to make the Lazlo CQ ad a flip around back cover, and it turned out great. We're really happy how all the covers turned out! Here's a few interior shots:
So I already have the other print rewards and shipping materials. I just need to print out the labels and start packaging. As long as everything continues to move along smoothly, we should have all the books out by the end of December as originally planned. But if anything changes, I'll make sure to let all of you know.
Thanks again for backing our little book, it means the world to us! We really hope you enjoy it.

Printer is a go!

Hey Gang,
I wanted to check in, and let you know that the files have officially been approved by the printer. We had a slight delay with some formatting issues, but that's been solved now, and the book is looking beautiful! We should still be able to make our December 2018 deadline, but if that changes, I will be the first to let you know.
On a positive note, the art prints and bonus reward tier items have been printed. They look fantastic! So when the books arrive, everything is ready to go!
Also, everyone should have received their digital files by now. If you have not, please let me know, and I will rectify the situation immediately. There were a couple of you that didn't receive your Backerkit emails. So don't hesitate to message or email me if you have a problem. While on the subject of Backerkit, if you have not filled out your survey yet, please do. I want to make sure everyone gets their rewards!
Lastly, I want to say thank you to those of you who have already read and reached out to us after reading Lazlo. It means the world to us! This project was dramatically different than anything we've done before, so we were a bit nervous. It's been great to see the reactions so far. One thing, we wanted to do going forward, was have a letters page. (Um... but your projects only come out a few times a year.) I know, I know. But myself and the team, thought it could still be a cool and fun idea. If you look in the book, you may have already noticed this.

Digital Rewards!

Hey Gang,
As of right now, you should have just received the download links from Backerkit for all digital rewards. Apologies for being a couple days later than originally anticipated, but we're perfectionists, and wanted everything to be just right! Please send me a direct message or email me at [email protected] if you have any issues receiving them.
In other news, we are still on track to meet our December deadline. The print files are being finalized as we speak, and then we're off to the races. I will be checking in from time to time to keep you updated or let you know if anything changes. Also, for those of you that have not finalized your surveys, please do! I want to make sure everyone gets their rewards.
On a sidenote, if you're in the Los Angeles area, and happen to be going to the Long Beach Comic Con, come by and say hi at booth B15! We had a great first day, and actually got to meet a couple previous Kickstarter backers. It's been a blast so far!
